Pine Crest Farm Goats

Thank you for your interest in our Saanens and Boer goats.
We began our goat adventure in 2003 with the puurchase of four bottle kids for our daughter
to show in 4-H. These little critters quickly won over our hearts and we now find ourselves
with a small herd of registered Saanens and a herd of Boer goats.

Our Saanen herd is mainly American and we keep striving to improve the genetics and milk
production by purchasing high quality herd sires. All new goats introduced into the herd are
separated from the rest of the herd for four to six weeks. During kidding season all
births are attended and kids are separated from dams and raised
on pasteurized milk.

Our Boer herd consists mainly of percentage does which are bred to full blood boer
bucks. Every two years, we introduce a new full blood buck into our her that is structurually correct with a good disposition to gain quality and meat production. We cull those does and bucks that do not produce and keep those that are more consistent. Our doelings that are
kept or are for sale come from those does that we retain. The bucks we sell are from our
few full blood does, and we only retain those that produce.

A deposit of $50.00 is required to hold a kid of your choice. We reserve the right to retain
any kids born on the farm. If your choice is NOT available, we will gladly refund your
deposit or transfer the deposit to another animal of your choice, whichever you
prefer. Balance is due prior to shipping or pick-up. Health certificates
are interstate travel, vet fees and shipping costs (airfare and kennel) are the
responsibility of the buyer. We ship out of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, but do
encourage kid pick-up at the farm whenever possible. Prices quoted are on pre-
ordered kids, and may change after freshening. Price quotued for kids picked or
shipped by one month of age.
